Abuse is a serious problem worldwide and happens countless times on a daily basis. Information regarding how to deal with violence and aggression is vital to our personal well-being. Abuse comes in numerous styles and does not discriminate against anybody; violence can and often does happen to people in every type of lifestyle, culture, occupation, social-class, religion and age group. Abuse, or violence, is considered to be any intentional and unwanted contact. Violence is a major public health problem in the United States, from infants to the elderly, it affects people in all stages of life. Violence is portrayed in the media, movies, and shows on television today. For instance, television presents so much violence that it has become so well adapted and practiced in our society that it is no longer viewed as completely repulsive and appalling to the human mind. Violence throughout various television programing continues to become more accepted. We, as a society, have graduall y become numb to the consequences caused by brutality. As a result, it gives an indeterminate percentage of society the notion that violence is totally normal and socially acceptable. Hostile creatures going out causing harm to individuals with poor reasoning or without any particular explanation at all is justifiable in the eyes of immoral culprits.
